About Lake Level Alert
I was fortunate enough, over the years of having a place on the Georgia side of Lake Hartwell, to always have that ever-watchful lake neighbor who would call me up and let me know that the lake was low and that my dock needed moving or that I should come get my boat out of the slip before it got "dock locked", i.e. - stuck in the slip due to the other side of the cove encroaching and not leaving enough room to pull the boat out. The idea for LakeLevelAlert.com struck me one day while cruising the lake and seeing so many docks and boats that were beached or unusable due to low water levels.
Conversely, I remember times at the lake where water levels were so high and had risen so fast that dock ramps and gang planks became submerged and, in many cases, remained under water for the entire summer making dock accessibility difficult or non-existent for lake-goers.
So many people on the lake are not fortunate enough to have the observant lake neighbor that I am blessed with. So, through LakeLevelAlert.com, we wish to become your "eyes on the lake" in order to help prevent many of the less than desirable events that result in lake level changes. We hope that you will take advantage of this FREE service and benefit from knowing the level of your lake.
